Torque tubes, carbon fiber

M.Shimizu’s carbon fiber torque tubes were designed and built to be installed in mobile systems such as KBK’s, and to move within the work area, in order to counteract the reaction of the application of torques generated by rotating tools, and to counterbalance the weight of the tool. The torque tubes can be integrated with different sizes of screwdrivers through customized tool support according to the customer’s need, which optimize the locking and movements required during the use of the tool in the assembly of the product. Its support system consists of four main units:

– Cart interface for rails;

– Telescopic support composed of carbon tubes and rods with linear bearings.

– Balancers or pneumatic cylinder;

– Electronic or pneumatic screwdriver

The telescopic holder is available in different lengths and stages and can be equipped with different types of balancers or pneumatic cylinders to sustain the desired load capacity. They meet the essential safety standards set out in the Machinery Directive.

The carbon fiber reaction arms were built and thought to bring the operator the greatest flexibility of use in the workplace, its lightness and telescopic function, give the operator the greatest comfort and fatigue reduction, combined with zero weight systems such as rockers, improving productivity and product quality, because the entire reaction is absorbed, allowing the best transfer of force from the torque tool to the product joint.
