Hydro-Jector HJ MP automatic drain for industrial pneumatic filters. Instant discharge up to 1,135 liters/hour at 6.9 bar, with minimal air loss. Available with 1/8" or 1/4" nozzles, compatible with Series 380 and Vanguard filters. Includes manual override for emergency maintenance. Robust, compact construction for systems requiring efficient drainage.
Features
The discharge rate is 300 gallons (1,135 liters) per hour at 100 psig (6.9 bar). The discharge action is instantaneous, with minimal air loss compared with conventional drains.
HYDRO-JECTOR drains are available with 1/8 or 1/4 nozzles. The 1/4 size is used with SERIES 380 and VANGUARD filters.
A manual override is provided on the drain valve for cleaning and emergency use.
To install a Hydro-Jector on a VANGUARD or SERIES 380 filter, you must order the filter with the designated “LDC” option. This option removes the drain cock and replaces it with a 1/4″ threaded adapter. If the units are ordered together, the filter will automatically be an “LDC”.
The HYDRO-JECTOR is not recommended where heavy oil or foam is present, as may be the case in separators or large aftercoolers.
Compressed air at 100 psi creates temperatures above 180°C in compressors. Normally, at this temperature the amount of vapor present is approximately 13.25 liters per hour of operation as 100% saturated air; if the compressed air temperature drops by a single degree, a true “storm” occurs in the air circuit.
M/P Heavy Duty filters and Hydro-Jectors drastically reduce the amount of water in compressed air systems.
The application of M/P filters and Hydro-Jector as an air drainage and filtration system, particularly in systems using compressors from 100 to 500 CFM, is an investment that combines practicality and efficiency. The M/P Hydro-Jector can be used together with M/P filters where severe water condensation problems exist, or separately as a drain.
Operating with intermittent flow, continuous flow or simply no air flow, the Hydro-Jector drains only when liquid is present, automatically and without air loss. A manual drain also allows cleaning or use in emergency situations. Supplied with 1/8” and 1/4” threaded connections, with the 1/4” version suitable for connection to M/P Vanguard series filters, M/P Hydro-Jectors are not recommended where oil or foam is present in large quantities.
