Belt tension meter with acoustic or optical sensor, ideal for precise adjustment of timing belts, V-belts and Poly-V belts. It measures the natural vibration frequency to ensure correct tension, maximize the service life of belts and components, and ensure ideal torque and rotation. Measurement range from 10 to 600 Hz, with readings in Hz or Kgf, without operator interference.
This equipment is ideal for measuring tension in all types of belts.
It is essential for maximizing the service life of the belt itself, as well as other components, while ensuring the application torque and rotation.
The Clavis belt tension meter uses acoustic principles to measure belt tension. The meter provides readings that accurately reflect belt tension without operator interference. This equipment is used worldwide, both in production areas as a tool for belt tension adjustment and in quality control. The equipment consists of a small sensor head positioned around the belt to be checked. A light tap on the belt is enough to make it vibrate at its natural frequency.
The vibrations are detected and the vibration frequency is then shown on the display. This equipment is ideal for measuring tension in all types of belts, such as timing belts, V-belts, Poly-V belts, etc. The measurement frequency ranges from 30Hz to 600Hz, covering most applications in the automotive industry. It is also available in the 10Hz to 300Hz range (Type 3) for special applications. A standard sensor head, as shown in the illustration beside it, is supplied with the equipment; however, a variety of sensors is available upon request.
Rechargeable batteries provide 30 hours of operation.
